Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Fluarix** is GSK's seasonal **trivalent inactivated split-virion influenza vaccine** for active immunization against influenza caused by the influenza A subtype viruses and influenza B virus represented in the annually updated formulation. It is administered as a 0.5 mL intramuscular injectable suspension and is approved in the United States for people aged 6 months and older. The current product is a three-strain vaccine, typically representing A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and influenza B antigens; it induces strain-specific humoral immune responses, including antibodies to viral hemagglutinin.
