Fluarix-AS01B

**Fluarix-AS01B** was an investigational GSK seasonal influenza vaccine candidate consisting of the licensed Fluarix inactivated influenza vaccine antigen formulation adjuvanted with the proprietary **AS01B** liposomal adjuvant system. AS01B contains 3-O-desacyl-4′-monophosphoryl lipid A and QS-21, which enhance innate immune activation and antigen-specific cellular and humoral immune responses. It was evaluated as a single intramuscular dose in adults aged 65 years and older to improve influenza-vaccine immune responses affected by immunosenescence. The candidate was studied in a completed Phase 2 trial and was not marketed as a distinct product.
