Flucaps

Flucaps is an oral antiviral medication developed and manufactured by the Belarusian pharmaceutical company Minskintercaps. It is a capsule formulation of oseltamivir, a small molecule neuraminidase inhibitor. Flucaps is indicated for the treatment of influenza and for post-exposure prophylaxis in adults and children. The drug works by inhibiting the viral neuraminidase enzyme, a glycoprotein located on the surface of the influenza virion that is essential for the release of newly formed virus particles from infected host cells. By blocking this enzyme, Flucaps prevents the spread of the virus to uninfected cells and stops viral replication. It is available in 30 mg, 45 mg, and 75 mg strengths and is registered by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.
