Overview

A combination therapy consisting of fluconazole (a triazole antifungal) and meropenem (a carbapenem antibiotic). This combination has been studied for its effectiveness against polymicrobial biofilms, particularly those formed by Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Candida albicans. Research indicates that the combination therapy may be more effective than monotherapy with either drug alone in reducing biofilm formation.
