fludiazepam

Fludiazepam is a potent benzodiazepine and a 2'-fluoro derivative of diazepam, originally developed by Hoffmann-La Roche in the 1960s. It is marketed under the brand name Erispan in Japan and Taiwan. Fludiazepam possesses anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, sedative, hypnotic, and skeletal muscle relaxant properties. Its primary indication is for the short-term treatment of anxiety disorders. The drug acts by enhancing GABAergic inhibition through binding to benzodiazepine receptors with approximately four times greater affinity than diazepam. This results in increased inhibitory neurotransmission via GABAA receptors[1][4][8].
