Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FluINsure is an investigational trivalent, live attenuated intranasal influenza vaccine developed to prevent influenza by inducing mucosal and systemic immunity against three influenza virus strains.[7] It is administered as a nasal spray rather than by injection and is designed to mimic natural infection with attenuated virus, stimulating local IgA and cellular responses in the nasopharynx as well as humoral antibody responses.[7] FluINsure was developed by ID Biomedical (formerly Intellivax International) as part of efforts to improve the convenience and immunogenicity of seasonal influenza vaccination.[7][12]
