Overview

VRC-FLUMOS0116-00-VP (FluMos-v2) is an experimental mosaic hexavalent influenza vaccine developed by the Vaccine Research Center (VRC) of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). The vaccine utilizes a self-assembling nanoparticle platform to display hemagglutinin (HA) proteins from six different influenza virus strains (mosaic display). This design is intended to elicit a broader and more durable immune response against a wide range of influenza A and B viruses compared to traditional seasonal vaccines. It is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials, such as VRC 328, to assess its safety, tolerability, and immunogenicity when administered alone or in combination with the ALFQ adjuvant.
