Overview
Flunok SP is an oral fixed-dose combination tablet containing the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) aceclofenac (100 mg), the analgesic and antipyretic paracetamol (325 mg), and the proteolytic enzyme serratiopeptidase (15 mg). Developed by Sunlife Pharmaceuticals, this combination is approved for the treatment of pain associated with inflammation and swelling, such as in musculoskeletal disorders, post-traumatic pain, and post-surgical inflammation. Aceclofenac and paracetamol work synergistically to inhibit cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, reducing the synthesis of pain-inducing prostaglandins, while serratiopeptidase acts as a fibrinolytic and anti-inflammatory agent by breaking down abnormal proteins and exudates at the site of injury, thereby reducing swelling and promoting tissue repair.
