**Fluocinolone acetonide + hydroquinone + tretinoin** is a prescription fixed-dose topical triple-combination cream containing fluocinolone acetonide 0.01%, hydroquinone 4%, and tretinoin 0.05%. Fluocinolone acetonide is a topical corticosteroid that reduces local inflammation and irritation; hydroquinone reduces melanin production through inhibition of tyrosinase activity; and tretinoin is a retinoid that activates retinoic acid receptors, promotes epidermal turnover, and enhances depigmenting activity. The marketed product Tri-Luma is approved in the United States for short-term treatment of moderate-to-severe facial melasma alongside sun avoidance and sunscreen use.
