Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fluoraphat Pro is a professional-grade dental desensitizing varnish designed for the in-office treatment of dentin hypersensitivity. The product operates through a dual mechanism: it provides immediate relief by physically occluding exposed dentinal tubules, thereby blocking the hydrodynamic flow of fluid that triggers pulpal nerve endings, and it offers long-term benefits by releasing fluoride ions. These ions facilitate the remineralization of the tooth structure by promoting the formation of fluorapatite on the hydroxyapatite surface, which increases resistance to acid challenges and further seals the tubules. Manufactured by Willmann & Pein in Germany, Fluoraphat Pro is applied topically to sensitive areas of the teeth and is recognized for its efficacy in reducing pain associated with thermal, chemical, and mechanical stimuli.
