Fluorescein isothiocyanate-labeled IgG is a fluorescently tagged immunoglobulin G (IgG) molecule used primarily as a diagnostic tracer and research tool in preclinical studies. The molecule consists of an IgG antibody chemically conjugated to the fluorophore fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), which allows for the visualization of antibody localization and distribution via fluorescence imaging. In the context of cancer research, it has been utilized to evaluate the efficacy of tumor-targeting delivery systems, such as mAb-Tropins, by serving as a fluorescent cargo that can be tracked as it is compartmentalized within the tumor microenvironment (TME).
