Fluorine F 18 ODS2004436 is a radioconjugate PET imaging agent consisting of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) kinase tracer ODS2004436 labeled with the radioisotope fluorine-18. It is designed for non-invasive molecular imaging to detect and quantify activated EGFR mutations in tumors, particularly in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The compound was developed using Oncodesign's Nanocyclix technology and functions as a companion diagnostic biomarker to predict responsiveness to EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) therapy. Preclinical studies demonstrated selective uptake in EGFR-mutated tumor xenografts compared to wild-type controls. Early clinical trials have shown promising sensitivity and specificity for identifying EGFR-mutant tumors and monitoring response to TKI treatment[1][2][4][5][7].
