fluorometholone + tobramycin

Mahafluro-T is an ophthalmic combination drug containing the corticosteroid fluorometholone and the aminoglycoside antibiotic tobramycin. Developed by Grevis Pharma, it is formulated as eye drops and is primarily indicated for the treatment of steroid-responsive inflammatory ocular conditions where a superficial bacterial eye infection or a risk of bacterial eye infection exists. Tobramycin acts as a broad-spectrum antibiotic by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit of susceptible bacteria, thereby inhibiting protein synthesis. Fluorometholone is a synthetic glucocorticoid that suppresses the inflammatory response by inhibiting the release of inflammatory mediators such as prostaglandins and cytokines, thereby reducing redness, swelling, and itching in the affected eye.
