A combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of fluorouracil (antimetabolite), carmustine (alkylating agent), dacarbazine (synthetic purine analog), and prednisolone (corticosteroid). This regimen has been used in the treatment of metastatic breast cancer. Clinical studies showed complete or partial remission in patients with varying levels of prior treatment exposure. The regimen was generally well-tolerated with main side effects including hemopoietic suppression, nausea, vomiting, and alopecia.
