fluorouracil + epirubicin + cyclophosphamide + filgrastim + paclitaxel

This is a combination chemotherapy regimen consisting of fluorouracil, epirubicin, and cyclophosphamide (FEC) followed by paclitaxel, with filgrastim support. The regimen is primarily used in the treatment of breast cancer, particularly in patients with lymph node-positive disease. Clinical trials have shown that adding paclitaxel to the FEC regimen significantly improves disease-free survival and reduces the risk of relapse compared to FEC alone. Filgrastim is included to stimulate the production of neutrophils and reduce the risk of neutropenia, a common side effect of this intensive chemotherapy combination.
