A combination therapy consisting of fluorouracil (5-FU), liposomal irinotecan (nal-IRI), leucovorin calcium (LV), and rucaparib. This regimen combines traditional chemotherapy agents with a PARP inhibitor. The chemotherapy components (liposomal irinotecan, fluorouracil, and leucovorin calcium) work in different ways to stop tumor cell growth by killing cells, stopping cell division, or preventing cell spread. Rucaparib, a PARP inhibitor, prevents cancer cells from repairing DNA damage, potentially enhancing the cytotoxic effects of the chemotherapy agents.
