Overview

This is a combination of four selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs): fluoxetine, sertraline, paroxetine, and citalopram. Each of these agents is an SSRI antidepressant that increases synaptic serotonin levels by inhibiting its reuptake into the presynaptic neuron. All are approved for the treatment of major depressive disorder and various other psychiatric conditions as monotherapies. There is no evidence or regulatory approval for their combined use in a single pharmaceutical product; combining multiple SSRIs is not standard clinical practice due to significant risk of adverse effects, including serotonin syndrome—a potentially life-threatening condition caused by excessive serotonergic activity[1][4][5]. The mechanism of action for each component involves potent inhibition of the serotonin transporter (SERT), leading to increased serotonergic neurotransmission in the central nervous system[1][3][7]. This combination would dramatically increase serotonergic effects and drug-drug interactions.
