fluoxetine + tibolone

Fluoxetine + tibolone is a combination of two pharmaceutical agents, fluoxetine and tibolone, used together in clinical research settings. Fluoxetine is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant that increases serotonin levels in the brain to treat major depressive disorder and other mood disorders. Tibolone is a synthetic steroid with estrogenic, progestogenic, and androgenic activity; it acts as hormone replacement therapy (HRT) for postmenopausal symptoms by being metabolized into compounds that activate estrogen, progesterone, and androgen receptors in a tissue-selective manner. The combination has been studied for its potential to improve depressive symptoms in postmenopausal women but did not show greater efficacy than fluoxetine alone[1][5]. Both drugs are small molecules with distinct mechanisms of action.
