fluticasone propionate + salmeterol xinafoate

UIC202005 is a fixed-dose combination drug product containing the corticosteroid fluticasone propionate and the long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (LABA) salmeterol xinafoate. It is indicated for the maintenance treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Fluticasone propionate reduces airway inflammation by binding to the glucocorticoid receptor, while salmeterol xinafoate provides prolonged bronchodilation by stimulating beta-2 adrenergic receptors in the lungs. In clinical development programs by Korea United Pharm, UIC202005 is used as the reference drug (comparator) to establish the bioequivalence of their inhaled product candidate, UI009.
