Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fluval AB is a trivalent, seasonal inactivated whole-virion influenza vaccine developed by OMNINVEST Kft. It contains hemagglutinin (HA) antigens from three seasonal influenza strains (A/H1N1, A/H3N2, and B) at a concentration of 15 μg HA per 0.5 mL dose. The vaccine is adjuvanted with aluminum phosphate gel to enhance immunogenicity. It is administered via intramuscular injection and is indicated for the prevention of seasonal influenza virus infection in adults and elderly populations. First authorized in Hungary in 1995, the vaccine has been used extensively, with its efficacy and safety profile supported by ongoing Phase 4 serologic studies that monitor seroconversion rates and geometric mean titer increases across different influenza seasons.
