Pneumovax 23 is a polyvalent vaccine containing capsular polysaccharides from 23 serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae, providing active immunization against pneumococcal disease. Both vaccines are widely approved for their respective indications and were used as an antigen challenge in the context of autoimmune research.
