Overview

FM-TP4000 is an investigational therapeutic cancer vaccine consisting of a cocktail of four synthetic peptides restricted to the HLA-A*24:02 MHC class I molecule. These peptides are derived from tumor-associated antigens (TAAs) that are frequently overexpressed in glioblastoma and its associated vasculature: Kinesin Family Member 20A (KIF20A), Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 1 (VEGFR1), Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 2 (VEGFR2), and Lymphocyte Antigen 6 Complex Locus K (LY6K, also known as URLC10). The vaccine is designed to stimulate a specific cytotoxic T-lymphocyte (CTL) response against both the tumor cells and the tumor-associated endothelial cells, thereby inhibiting tumor growth and angiogenesis. Developed by Fujifilm Toyama Chemical, FM-TP4000 is typically administered subcutaneously in combination with the adjuvant Montanide ISA 51. It has been primarily evaluated in Phase I/II clinical trials for the treatment of recurrent glioblastoma multiforme in patients who are HLA-A*24:02 positive.
