By targeting the STING pathway, FM401 aims to activate the innate immune system, leading to the production of Type I interferons (IFNs) and pro-inflammatory cytokines. This activation enhances the recruitment and activation of dendritic cells and T-cells within the tumor microenvironment, potentially converting "cold" tumors into "hot" tumors and improving the efficacy of other immunotherapies.
