Overview

FM401 is a small molecule agonist of the Stimulator of Interferon Genes (STING) protein, currently under development by Future Medicine Co., Ltd. for the treatment of various solid tumors. By targeting the STING pathway, FM401 aims to activate the innate immune system, leading to the production of Type I interferons (IFNs) and pro-inflammatory cytokines. This activation enhances the recruitment and activation of dendritic cells and T-cells within the tumor microenvironment, potentially converting "cold" tumors into "hot" tumors and improving the efficacy of other immunotherapies. The asset is primarily in the preclinical stage, focusing on optimizing systemic delivery and anti-tumor potency using Future Medicine's proprietary nucleoside-based medicinal chemistry platform.
