Overview
FMP-30 is a standardized fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) product derived from healthy donor stool, sourced from the nonprofit stool bank OpenBiome. It is specifically screened and selected for immunological properties relevant to autoimmune diseases, such as the potential to shift T-cell profiles from pro-inflammatory (TH17) to immunomodulatory (T regulatory) states. FMP-30 is currently being investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials for the treatment of relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) and Sjögren's syndrome, where it is administered via colonoscopy following a course of preconditioning antibiotics to facilitate microbial engraftment.
