FMP010 is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine candidate developed by the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR) for the prevention of malaria caused by *Plasmodium falciparum*. The vaccine antigen is based on the Thrombospondin-Related Adhesion Protein (TRAP), a pre-erythrocytic stage protein that plays a critical role in sporozoite motility and the invasion of hepatocytes. FMP010 is typically formulated with the AS01B adjuvant system, a liposomal adjuvant containing monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL) and QS-21, to enhance the induction of protective humoral and cellular immune responses. Clinical trials have evaluated the safety and immunogenicity of FMP010 in both malaria-naive adults in the United States and malaria-experienced adults in Kenya.
