Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FMXIN002 (NS002) is an investigational intranasal epinephrine powder spray developed by Nasus Pharma for the emergency treatment of anaphylaxis and severe Type 1 allergic reactions. The formulation utilizes a proprietary microsphere powder-based technology delivered via a needle-free APTAR Nasal Unidose device. Designed to be a more stable and user-friendly alternative to traditional intramuscular injections, FMXIN002 aims to provide rapid systemic absorption of epinephrine to counteract life-threatening symptoms such as hypotension and airway obstruction. Clinical data suggests that the powder formulation achieves clinical thresholds for plasma epinephrine levels faster and more reliably than standard autoinjectors in some subjects, while also offering an extended shelf life of up to five years at room temperature.
