FNDR-20364

FNDR-20364 (also known as NF1001) is a preclinical small molecule antibacterial agent discovered and developed by the Foundation for Neglected Disease Research (FNDR) in collaboration with the National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR). The compound was originally isolated from soil samples collected in Antarctica. It is currently being investigated for its potential in treating Nontuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM), drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB), and various Gram-positive bacterial infections. While its specific molecular target has not been publicly disclosed, its origin from an extreme environment suggests a potentially novel mechanism of action that may be effective against pathogens resistant to conventional antibiotics.
