Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FNX010 is an orally bioavailable, small molecule selective agonist of the thyroid hormone receptor beta (THRβ), developed by Chengdu Fannuoxi Biomedical Technology. It is designed for the treatment of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). By specifically activating THRβ in the liver, the drug enhances mitochondrial fatty acid oxidation and reduces intrahepatic lipid accumulation, while avoiding the cardiotoxicity associated with thyroid hormone receptor alpha (THRα) activation. FNX010 is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to assess its safety, pharmacokinetics, and pharmacodynamics in healthy participants.
