Overview

FODZYME is a proprietary oral enzyme supplement developed by Kiwi Biosciences to address digestive discomfort associated with the ingestion of FODMAPs (fermentable oligosaccharides, disaccharides, monosaccharides, and polyols). The product contains a blend of three primary enzymes: fructan hydrolase, which breaks down fructans; lactase, which targets lactose; and alpha-galactosidase, which degrades galacto-oligosaccharides (GOS). By enzymatically converting these hard-to-digest carbohydrates into smaller, more absorbable molecules during meal consumption, FODZYME aims to prevent the colonic fermentation that typically triggers symptoms like bloating, gas, and abdominal pain in individuals with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or general FODMAP sensitivities.
