Overview

Folerin is an approved second-generation antihistamine developed and marketed by Novell Pharmaceutical Laboratories. It contains 10 mg of loratadine as its active ingredient. Loratadine is a long-acting, non-sedating tricyclic antihistamine that selectively antagonizes peripheral histamine H1 receptors. By blocking these receptors, Folerin effectively relieves symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, rhinorrhea, and nasal itching, as well as ocular symptoms like itching and burning of the eyes. It is typically administered orally as a tablet and is characterized by its lack of significant central nervous system effects at recommended doses.
