Overview

FOLFOX4 + recombinant human endostatin is a combination regimen used primarily in oncology clinical research, especially for advanced or metastatic colorectal cancer and other solid tumors. FOLFOX4 consists of three chemotherapeutic agents—oxaliplatin, fluorouracil (5-FU), and folinic acid (leucovorin)—administered in a specific schedule over two days every two weeks. These drugs act synergistically to inhibit DNA synthesis and cell division in rapidly proliferating cancer cells[2][3][6]. Recombinant human endostatin is an anti-angiogenic biologic agent that inhibits the formation of new blood vessels by targeting endothelial cell proliferation, thereby starving tumors of their blood supply. The combination aims to enhance antitumor efficacy by attacking both tumor cells directly (via chemotherapy) and indirectly (by inhibiting angiogenesis with endostatin).
