Folic Prevent is a branded folic acid (vitamin B9) supplement developed and marketed by Laboratorios Laproff. Formulated as 400 µg oral tablets, it serves as an essential cofactor in the synthesis of nucleoproteins and the maintenance of normal erythropoiesis. The primary clinical indication for Folic Prevent is periconceptional supplementation to prevent neural tube defects (NTDs) such as spina bifida and anencephaly in the developing fetus.
