Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Folican Plus is a combination nutritional supplement developed by Med Manor Organics, containing L-methylfolate, methylcobalamin, and pyridoxal 5-phosphate. It is primarily indicated for the prevention and treatment of nutritional deficiencies, particularly during preconception, pregnancy, and lactation, to support healthy fetal development, red blood cell formation, and neurological function. L-methylfolate is the biologically active form of folate (vitamin B9) that bypasses the MTHFR enzymatic conversion step to support DNA synthesis and homocysteine regulation. Methylcobalamin is the active coenzyme form of vitamin B12 that promotes nerve myelination and cognitive health. Pyridoxal 5-phosphate is the active form of vitamin B6, which acts as a cofactor in amino acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis. Together, these active B-vitamins help maintain normal homocysteine levels, support brain and nerve health, and manage anemia.
