Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Folijot is a nutraceutical combination tablet developed by Alde Medi Impex. It contains L-methylfolate (1 mg), mecobalamin (1500 mcg), pyridoxal-5-phosphate (1.5 mg), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) (100 mg). This combination is designed to address nutritional deficiencies, support neurological health, and promote prenatal and postnatal wellness. L-methylfolate is the biologically active form of folate that bypasses the MTHFR enzyme pathway, supporting red blood cell formation and DNA synthesis. Mecobalamin (active vitamin B12) and pyridoxal-5-phosphate (active vitamin B6) are essential for nerve regeneration, myelin sheath maintenance, and homocysteine regulation. Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) is an omega-3 fatty acid critical for fetal brain and retinal development. Folijot is approved in India as a nutritional supplement.
