Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FE 999049 (follitropin delta) is a novel recombinant human follicle-stimulating hormone (rFSH) developed by Ferring Pharmaceuticals and marketed under the brand name REKOVELLE. It is indicated for controlled ovarian stimulation to develop multiple follicles in women undergoing assisted reproductive technologies such as in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). FE 999049 is dosed individually based on body weight and serum anti-Müllerian hormone levels[5][6]. Triptorelin is a synthetic decapeptide agonist analog of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH), classified as a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist. It acts by initially stimulating and then suppressing pituitary secretion of LH and FSH after chronic administration[3][7]. The combination of follitropin delta with triptorelin may be used in protocols for ovarian stimulation where GnRH agonists are employed to prevent premature ovulation.
