Fomitopsis cajanderi hot ethanol extract is a research-stage natural product extract derived from the fruiting body of the Fomitopsis cajanderi mushroom, also known as the Rosy Polypore [1]. Prepared via a two-hour Soxhlet extraction in ethanol using a cold finger condenser, this crude extract has been evaluated in academic research for its potential therapeutic properties [1]. In preclinical studies, the extract demonstrated concentration-dependent cytotoxicity against human MCF7 mammary adenocarcinoma and U-937 histiocytic lymphoma cancer cell lines, with more pronounced tumoricidal effects observed in the U-937 cells [1]. Currently, there is no commercial developer, and the extract remains in the early academic research stage with no identified molecular targets [1].
