Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Foot-and-mouth disease O-type and A-type bivalent inactivated vaccine is a veterinary vaccine developed by Shenlian Biotech for the prevention of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) in livestock, particularly swine and cattle. The vaccine is formulated using inactivated Foot-and-Mouth Disease Virus (FMDV) antigens of serotypes O and A. Upon administration, it induces a humoral immune response, leading to the production of specific neutralizing antibodies that provide protection against infection from these two prevalent serotypes. It is approved for use in China and serves as a critical component of national FMD control and prevention strategies.
