Overview

FORRAD is a topical medical radiation protectant designed for the prevention and treatment of acute radiation dermatitis. It is a new type of topical agent that can be used during radiotherapy, even when grade ≥2 dermatitis has developed. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials for its efficacy and safety in managing radiation dermatitis in patients with nasopharyngeal carcinoma receiving intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).
