Developed as a pharmaceutical candidate by Guangdong Lane Pharmaceutical Research Institute, it is being investigated for its potent broad-spectrum antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties in treating respiratory viral infections such as the common cold and influenza. The compound exhibits a dual mechanism of action: it inhibits viral replication by targeting neuraminidase activity and mitigates the inflammatory response by suppressing the NF-κB signaling pathway.
