Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fortilink-C is a fixed-dose combination nutraceutical product primarily indicated for the management of bone fractures and the maintenance of bone health. It combines the therapeutic properties of **Cissus quadrangularis**, a perennial plant extract traditionally used in Ayurvedic medicine for its osteogenic and analgesic effects, with **Calcium Citrate Maleate** and **Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol)**. Cissus quadrangularis is thought to accelerate fracture healing by stimulating the metabolism and uptake of calcium by osteoblasts and increasing the expression of bone-forming markers. Calcium Citrate Maleate provides a highly bioavailable source of calcium to support bone mineral density, while Vitamin D3 facilitates the intestinal absorption of calcium and regulates phosphate homeostasis. Together, these components work synergistically to improve bone tensile strength and support recovery in conditions such as osteoporosis, osteopenia, and traumatic bone injuries.
