Overview
A combination antiemetic regimen consisting of fosaprepitant (a neurokinin-1 receptor antagonist), tropisetron (a 5-hydroxytryptamine-3 receptor antagonist), olanzapine (an atypical antipsychotic), and dexamethasone (a corticosteroid). This combination targets multiple pathways involved in chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV) and has shown superior efficacy compared to standard antiemetic protocols, particularly for preventing delayed CINV in patients receiving highly emetogenic chemotherapy or conditioning regimens before stem cell transplantation.
