Overview
Foshou Weian (also known as Foshou Weian Granules) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) candidate developed by the Qingdao Haichuan Innovation Bio-Natural Medicine Research Center in collaboration with Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically formulated for the treatment of chronic non-atrophic gastritis, particularly in patients presenting with the TCM syndrome of liver-stomach disharmony (肝胃不和). The drug is derived from natural botanical sources, with *Citrus medica* var. *sarcodactylis* (Finger Citron or Foshou) serving as a primary active component. Its therapeutic mechanism is based on TCM principles of regulating Qi, soothing the liver, and harmonizing the stomach to alleviate symptoms such as epigastric pain, bloating, and acid reflux. Pharmacologically, it is intended to provide gastric mucosal protection and exert anti-inflammatory effects to promote the repair of the stomach lining.
