Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Fosnetupitant + palonosetron** is an intravenous fixed-dose antiemetic combination marketed as **Akynzeo**. It contains fosnetupitant, a water-soluble prodrug converted to the neurokinin-1 receptor antagonist netupitant, and palonosetron, a serotonin 3 receptor antagonist. By blocking complementary emetic pathways, it prevents acute and delayed chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting. In the United States, intravenous Akynzeo is indicated with dexamethasone for adults receiving highly emetogenic cancer chemotherapy.
