Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**Fostera Gold PCV MH** is a bivalent, chimeric vaccine used in swine for the prevention of diseases caused by porcine circovirus type 2 (PCV2) and Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae (Mhp). It contains two genotypes of PCV2 (2a and 2b) and includes antigens from M. hyopneumoniae, providing the broadest range of protection among commercial PCV2 vaccines. The vaccine elicits both humoral (antibody-mediated) and cell-mediated immune responses, important for protection against PCV2 and Mhp. Its efficacy includes protection against the prevalent PCV2d strain, due to demonstrated cross-protection between genotypes[1][3][5].
