Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fowl cholera vaccine is a veterinary bacterial vaccine developed by FARVET for the immunization of poultry against Fowl Cholera, a highly contagious and devastating disease caused by the bacterium *Pasteurella multocida*. The vaccine is typically an inactivated formulation (bacterin) containing multiple serotypes of *P. multocida* (commonly serotypes 1, 3, and 4) to provide broad protection. It is often emulsified in an oil adjuvant to enhance the duration and intensity of the immune response. Administration of the vaccine helps reduce mortality, clinical signs, and the spread of the pathogen within flocks of chickens, turkeys, and other domestic birds.
