Overview

Fowlpox-CEA-TRICOM vaccine is a recombinant fowlpox-based vaccine designed to induce an immune response against cancer cells expressing carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA). The vaccine incorporates TRICOM, a combination of co-stimulatory molecules (B7-1, ICAM-1, LFA-3), intended to enhance T-cell activation and improve the anti-tumor immune response. It has been investigated in clinical trials for various advanced or metastatic cancers, often in combination with sargramostim (GM-CSF) or chemotherapy, to potentially increase the number of immune cells and make tumor cells more sensitive to the vaccine. The vaccine aims to stimulate CEA-specific T-cell immunity to target and kill tumor cells.
