FOXK2 siRNA refers to small interfering RNA molecules specifically designed to silence the expression of the forkhead box protein K2 (FOXK2) gene. FOXK2 is a transcription factor implicated in promoting glycolysis, cancer cell proliferation, and other processes such as autophagy and metabolic regulation. In preclinical cancer research, FOXK2 siRNA is used to interfere with tumor metabolic pathways, suppress tumor growth, and enhance sensitivity to metabolic or chemotherapeutic interventions. The administration of FOXK2 siRNA leads to specific, RNA interference-mediated reduction of FOXK2 levels, resulting in decreased glycolytic enzyme expression and reduced tumor cell proliferation. Experimental delivery is often via nanoparticles or hydrogel-based systems aimed at improving tumor targeting and stability[1][6][5].
