**FOXP1 shRNA** is a gene therapy research tool and experimental therapeutic consisting of a short hairpin RNA sequence designed to specifically target and downregulate the expression of the FOXP1 (Forkhead box protein P1) gene through RNA interference. By introducing FOXP1 shRNA into cells, researchers or clinicians can silence FOXP1, decreasing its mRNA and protein levels. FOXP1 is a transcription factor involved in cell survival, stemness, differentiation, and oncogenesis. FOXP1 knockdown via shRNA has been shown to increase oxidative stress and sensitize cells to chemotherapy, decrease spheroid formation, reduce resistance to cancer drugs, and impact the expression of stemness and apoptotic genes in malignancies such as ovarian cancer and acute myeloid leukemia. The tool is used to study FOXP1 biology and as a preclinical therapeutic strategy in cancers where FOXP1 acts as an oncogene[3][4].
