Drug intelligence / Profile preview
FP002 is a humanized anti-CD47 IgG4 monoclonal antibody developed and patented by Fapon Biopharma. It binds strongly to the CD47 protein on the surface of tumor cells, acting as a CD47 antagonist, and weakly to human red blood cells without causing hemagglutination. The drug is designed to block the "don't eat me" signal mediated by CD47, thereby promoting phagocytosis of tumor cells by macrophages. Preclinical studies have shown that FP002 demonstrates stronger anti-tumor efficacy and higher reliability compared to similar products in multiple tumor models. It is being developed for use in oncology, specifically for advanced malignancies and solid tumors[2][3][4][6][8].
