FPP004X is an antibody-inducing peptide vaccine developed by FunPep in collaboration with Osaka University. It is designed to treat allergic diseases—primarily pollinosis (seasonal allergic rhinitis)—by stimulating the body’s immune system to produce antibodies against immunoglobulin E (IgE), a key mediator of allergic reactions. By inducing anti-IgE antibodies, FPP004X aims to provide a sustained therapeutic effect throughout allergy seasons when administered prior to allergen exposure. The drug represents a novel approach for long-lasting management of pollen allergies and is currently in early clinical development[1][3][4][5][6].
